Best Korean Drama I've Seen Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Definitely the best drama ever. The story is great and the acting couldn't be better. The songs are really beautiful too, especially the main theme. This version - Stairway to Heaven (English Subtitled)(SBS TV Series) - comes in very nice packaging with many photos of the characters. The English subtitles are quite good as well. Overall I was very impressed when I received my copy, not only because of the quality of the product but also because of the good service as I received the DVD's sooner than I expected. 10 out of 10.

cried buckets...amazing series Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This was the saddest series i've seen in my life. I cried a lot, even though it left me so sad for a couple of weeks after finishing the series i still highly recommend it!!!! After watching this, you will no longer wonder why Choi Ji Woo & Kwon Sang Woo are so popular across Asia & considererd the most talented. Their love was presented in such a real way that it left me speechless. It's simply movies and celebrities like these that make the K-Enterainment Industry continue to dominate across Asia and around the world!! Definitely a Must-Watch K-Series of all times!!

Touching Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This drama is probably one of the best I've ever seen (and I'm definitely an avid drama watcher). You really feel for each of the characters; whether you love them or hate them or want to cry for them or slap them in the face...you'll feel something.

Each actor works perfectly as their character in the show. Poor Cha Song Joo spends a good number of episodes running after Han Jung Suh. He is the most persistant, resilient person I've ever seen. You'll probably hate TaeHwa for a good portion of the show, but he'll grow on you. And YooRi and her mother will make you want to scream. That's what makes a good drama, getting involved.

Oh and Kwon Sang Woo gorgeous yet again :)

Classic Tale Of Undying Love Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
KSW & CJW stars in a Korean Drama extravaganza.

As already stated by most of the users here the thing that glues this drama together is the superb acting from both main characters.

On paper the story is not something that is very different from what seasoned K Drama fans have seen before however the story is solid enough to be utterly immersed in.

The chemistry between the 2 leads is extraordinary there is not a moment that feels forced or exaggerated the 2 do look very much in Love & the portrayal of KSW Love for CJW in this Drama is mesmerizing & Endearing.

On a marketing standpoint this version of this series is the best as it comes with pictures of all the leads and director.

It would be served best as a present on Valentines Day.

If the term “Cooky Cutter” existed for Elements taken from Standards of the Best Drama Series that ever existed then Stair way to Heaven is the Cooky.

Persistence & Perseverance Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a drama that you wouldn't want to stop watching. Just as Cha Song-Joo (Kwon Sang-Woo) persistence in his never ending search to find his childhood sweetheart and soulmate, Han Jung-Suh (Choi Ji-Woo), . This is the Drama series that made Kwon Sang-Woo a STAR in his own rights. The supporting casts were also very good in their respective roles. A debut for Kim Tae-Hee who played the envious stepsister Yoo-Ri. The very vindictive step mother Tae Mi-Ra (Lee Hui Hyang) and the undying affectionate of stepbrother Tae-Hwa (Shin Hyun-Joon)....

A Classic Indeed! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Great acting and great sublime music. Shin Hyun Jun and Choi Ji Woo and all other characters put forth a first class act. Heartbreaking story no doubt but you will never regret watching this story. Great theme and a classic indeed. Love that music, too.

More than two thumbs up Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I finally get this DVD set from Yesasia.com, a good quality English subtitle and complete version. I do not remember how many times I watch this series but each time it gives me a thrill as it was the first. The twosome of KSW/CJW is awesome. The chemistry, the emotional exchange, appearances are all tailored made for these two artists with extensive talents. No one could have done it better. People may argue that the story is full of cliche, cheap sentiment, one bit of Winter Sonata, the other bit of Beautiful Days and they just put the pieces together as one...Yes, they might have used the same plot a thousand times since the history of show business: amnesia, different identity, heartbreaking separations, evil stepmother, terminal illness and so on. However differences are made largely depending on the craftmanship of the director, team work of the script, performance of main/supportive actors and an outstanding music score of its original sound track, all these essences create a sensational phenomenon which make STH a legend of its time. It is the first time I watch Kwon Sang Woo and I am impressed with his extraordinary performance as an actor. He is just fabulous and has such an overwhelming ability to grasp the audience's heart of how he feels in the drama. Choi Ji Woo is my favorite Korean actress and she is always wonderfully good in transforming our heroine into a lively character. I also have to mention the supporting actor and actress who play HJS's father and stepmother. These veteran artists are doing such a great job, especially the one who plays stepmother. I have seen her other dramas which she plays different roles and she is excellent in each one of them. One last thing is the music which is simply heavenly made. I start collecting Korean music since listening to Kim Bum Soo's "Bo Go Sip Da" and for the first time ever I believe that there is no boundary nor any language barrier in the world of music..

The Greatest Korean Drama Ever Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This drama is a real masterpiece! It has the best soundtrack and acting ever! This one might even be better than "Winter Sonata" which is the title holder of the best korean drama of all time. The only negative review I will give this series is the fact that you will lose many hours of sleep, thus creating bag-eyes. You owe it to yourself to see this. Get those boxes of tissues ready :)

good acting Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
the main thing i liked about stairway to heaven was the acting. kwon sangwoo and choi jiwoo are both really talented and they were so good in this drama. shin hyunjoon and kim taehee were also really good too. the child actors at the beginning were also good, especially park shinhye. the soundtrack is also really great, and it was perfect how they used chopin in it.
BUT, the story had a few issues i think. i thought the ending was good, EXCEPT for what happens to one of the supporting characters. i dont want to give anything away, but i'll just say that i think they tried to include too many cliches, so that one thing didnt work well. but besides that one thing, i thought the ending was good. even though a lot of people dont like how the last episode ended the way it did with that scene, i thought it was good.
and lastly, since the overall story is pretty similar to winter sonata (the details and characters are quite different though), i cant help but compare them. and overall.. i think winter sonata was a lot better in terms of the plot and the music, but stairway to heaven might have had better acting because of kwon sangwoo.
